Lease Revenue Accountant (JD004)

Our client in the commercial real estate industry is looking to add a Lease Revenue Accountant to their Dallas location. The ideal candidate must have experience in Lease compliance & OPEX/CAM reconciliations. Commercial property accounting exposure preferred.

    Responsibilities:

  • Review lease documents and abstracts
  • Process new leases, terminations or amendment into Rent Manager
  • Generate monthly statements and reports
  • Review monthly recurring charges in Rent Manager
  • Transfer security deposit from old to new lease account
  • Perform tenant account audits
  • Create and maintain properties in Rent Manager
  • Maintain and update all suite square footage and critical date information in Rent Manager
  • Review and process adjustment and vacate forms in Rent Manager
  • Review and update tenants annual sales tax rate
  • Prepare and review year end recovery reconciliations
  • Post cash applications
  • Create and maintain reporting from Rent Manager
  • Research and respond to Client/Team requests
  • Complete special projects as assigned
  • Follow the provided workflow process and procedures to complete all requirements on time and accurately and assist in process improvement solutions.
  • ** Rent Manager is the clients’ accounting software for lease compliance.

    • Qualifications

  • Minimum 4 years lease administration compliance in commercial property industry experience
  • Rent Manager preferred; or Yardi, MRI, or other lease software a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting is preferred
  • The ability to read and interpret lease agreements
  • Effective oral, written and listening communication skills
  • Professional interpersonal skills, the ability to work independently and in a team
  • Detail oriented and ability to provide accurate work products
  • Ability to meet deadlines, good time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications (Outlook, Excel and Word) and Adobe PDF
  • Critical thinking with the ability to apply good judgement to resolve problems
  • Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality
